Albert Lamar Jones aka Stone, aka Junior, age 58 made his transition on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Jones, Jr., his brother; Gregory Jones, niece; Sharee K. Shelton-Colline, grandfathers; Albert Jones, Sr., and Cleophus Shelton, grandmothers; Eleanor Jones and Uniah Searcy-Shelton, great-grandmother; Annie John Searcy, uncles; Asia S-Bay, Ardell Shelton, Theddore Wade, Freddie Swanson, and Winfred Jones, aunts; Sandra Wright, Mozell Jackson, and Sharon Jones.
Albert attended Pontiac Schools and graduated from Pontiac Northern High School, which he ran Cross Country Track and he won medals. In his past time he loved to read, dance, tell jokes, and go skating, he like the sport of boxing and he did a little singing as well. Junior loved his family and his number one woman was Roree Jones his mother, he knew she would always be there for him, no matter what.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Roree Jones, his children; Trenay Jones, Lanay Jones, Drame Jones, Ana'Nee Jones, Annessa Jones, Alontay Jones, Albert L. Jones. Jr.. 8 grandchildren, siblings; Noline (Roderick) Shelton-Lee, Salinthia Shelton, Donna Jones and Wanda Draper, Aunts; Aima Shelton, Linda Jones, uncle; Roderick Jones, his very special and devoted friend, Monica Lynn Evans. Also a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, which they loved him very much.
Mr. Jones will lie in repose on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00PM until 4:00PM
Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 12:00PM at Cobb's Funeral Home, family hour will begin at 11:00AM. Rev. Doctor Roderick Jones, officiating, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Elizabeth, Kentucky.
