Altis Ratcliff (Art is), of Pontiac, Michigan, was born on October 6, 1943, to the union of the late Hollis & Courtney Ratcliff, in Jayes, Mississippi.  He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Fulton Huey, Joseph Ratcliff, Freeman Ratcliff and Dorothy Butcher, his daughter; Janice Ratcliff, grandaughter; Jasmine Ratcliff.  He made his transition on January 8, 2025, at the age of 81.

Altis accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.  He graduated in 1958 from Hope High School of Mississippi School District and  retired from Pontiac General Motors after 37 years.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife; Arnesta M. Ratcliff, children; Grace (Gregory) Singleton and Paul Ratcliff, stepchildren; Damon Bernard, Arnetria Burrow, Keon (Jessica) Allen, Kevon Allen, and Cordero Stephens, siblings; Holiner Rush, Willine Ratcliff, Marquita Ratcliff, Helen Rogers, Leamon Ernest, and John Ratcliff, 21 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, Godmother; Ms. Norma Hurt, special friends; Frank Wallace, and Henry Hardy.  Also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and all of his poker players.

Mr. Ratcliff will lie in repose on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00pm - 6:00pm.

Celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 10:30am and the service will immediately start at 11:00am.  Interment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
