Amir Raemon Taylor was delivered on October 13, 2000 into the loving arms of his mother Akia Mitchell and his anxiously awaiting big brother Diallo Bellamy.

Amir earned his GED with honors and received college credit in English, Social Studies and Science (his favorite subject).  Amir had aspirations of becoming a veterinarian, after earning his GED, he was hired at Macdonalds and in just over a month he was training new employees and shortly after that, he was shadowing supervisors to become the new Crew Shift Leader.

Amir was an exceptional child, respectful, kind, loving, intelligent and kindhearted, a ninja warrior by day and accompanied his brother in battle royales by night. He was a natural caregiver and cared deeply for the elderly.

Amir departed from us on August 4, 2020 to be at perfect peace and surrounded forever in love with his Heavenly Father our Lord Savior Jesus Christ.  He wa preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mary Mae Mitchell,  great-grand father, Ollie Mitchell, II and his grandfather, Ollie Mitchell, III (Junior).

Amir is survived by his mother, Akia Mitchell, older brother, Diallo (Natalaya) Bellamy, younger sister, Simone Parsons, great-grandmother, Evangelist Sylvia Buckles, great-grandfather, Emmett Buckles, Nana Karen Mitchell, uncle Ollie (Tammy) Mitchell, IV, Aunt Marla (Ken) Gilreath, first cousin, Olivia & Christopher Gilreath and Ollie Mitchell, V.  Three special nephews he loved VERY much, Diallo Jr, Nasir, Aaron Bellamy and he had a special bond with his Nana Karen Mitchell,

Mr. Taylor will lie in repose on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.   Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home, family hour will start at 9 a.m. prior to the service.  Internment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.

As a global concern about Coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to have a impact on our community, we are taking necessary steps to ensure the safety of the families we serve and the community in general.  Some families are making the decision to postpone services while others have opted to move forward with a small gathering of close family and friends.

It is Cobb's Funeral Home policy, which lines up with the restrictions of our governor, Gretchen Whitmer, that all gatherings are limited to 20 people with a distance of 6 feet.
