Anna Ruth Thompson, effectionately known by her grandmother as "Nana," passed on September 20, 2022, after a battle with cancer and heart failure. Anna Ruth Thompson lived until 87 years of age, survived by her children Adele Boothe, David Booth and Jonathan Booth, as well as her grandchildren, Amale Knox, Jonathan Justin Booth, Caleb Booth, Isreal Booth, Antione Holiday and Rene Mackey. She is also survived by her Stepsister, Delores Chance and beloved daughters-in-law, Brenda Ellington-Booth and Krystal Booth.
Anna Ruth was deeply loved and cherished by all she met and encountered. She was independent, strong-minded and a loving supportive mother and grandmother. Anna Ruth led a career as a clerk typist for the State of Michigan until she retired around 2001. She loved animals, and her household was full of love, encouragement and peace. She usually kept a German Shepherd and a Poodle, two of her favorite breeds. She encouraged her children and grandchildren to study diligently and persue higher education and entrepreneurship. "Anna Ruth is deeply loved and missed by all she encountered".
Funeral services for Anna Ruth Thompson will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan, with family hour starting at 10 a.m. Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
