A'Sheemah Shaaw Kelley began her journey of life on December 2, 1977, Youngstown, Ohio.  Born to James Bootsie Kelley and the late, Janice J. German-Chatmon.

A'Sheemah graduated from Pontiac Northern High School CLASS OF 1996.  She attended Baker College where she received her bachelor's in Business administration in 2017. Sheemah also obtained her associates in Human Resources.

A'Sheemah worked as a loan officer at Ally Financial.She truly lived life to the fullest.  She loved cooking and baking cakes and trying new recipes.  Sheemah would help any person in need if she could.  She loved talking on the phone with her family and friends.

A'Sheemah leaves to cherish her memory: Fiancé Dion Carthane; her children Kashiya Kelley, J'khary Kelley, Kiyla Kelley; Brothers Marcus (Erika) Kelley, Richard Crawford, Arsenio (Jalicia) Hendrix, James Kelley Jr., and Corey Kelley; Sisters Jomekea (Larandell) Guy and Ada German; Step sister Tanaka Chatmon.

A'Sheemah was preceded in death by her daughter Samirah Hardiman; mother Janice J. German-Chatmon; grandparents; John German and Ada Collard; uncles Henderson (Chip) German, Leon (Eddie) German, Roosevelt (Roe) Pickett; special friend Deshaunn Davis.

Celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at St. James Missionary Baptist Church 345 Bagley St. Pontiac, MI.  Family hour will begin at 10:30am and the service will start promptly at 11:00am.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, MI.
