Calandra accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age, she was confirmed at Grace Lutheran church.  She was a proud member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Pontiac, Michigan, where she enjoyed singing with the mass choir.  As their Health Fair Coordinator, she was able to successfully vaccinate almost 500 members of their congregation.

Calandra graduated from Pontiac Northern High School and matriculated to Oakland Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Nursing.  Because she was an advocate for education, her greatest accomplishment was her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership in 2020.  "The title of Doctor complimented her name".

As the pandemic began in March 2020, she became the Oakland County Health Division's quality and process improvement supervisor.  Her duties included serving as the COVID-19 school nurse liaison where she hired, trained and deployed 68 nurses to 28 public school  districts and 125 private or charter schools.  She played a pivotal role in launching COVID-19 testing at churches in Oakland County.  She was also credited with organizing a mental-health response of the Oxford school district following the high school shooting.  One of her many achievements in life was to be named Oakland County's first African American Health Officer in 2022.

Dr. Calandra Letisha Green of Pontiac, Michigan departed this life on May 11, 2023.  She leaves to cherish her memories; her parents, Robert and Gennie Hammond, daughter; Casey Lee Anderson, siblings; Charlotte Marshall, Sikande Stewart and Rodriguez Hammond, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Dr. Calandra Letisha Green will lie in repose on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00pm until 6:00pm.

Celebration of Life for Dr. Calandra Letisha Green will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11:00am at Welcome Missionary Baptist Church 143 Oneida St., Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will start at 10:30am.  Pastor Douglas P. Jones, Senior Pastor and host Pastor Terrance Gowdy, Eulogist Interment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery 878 N. Perry St.  Pontiac, Michigan.
