Calvin Franklin Elam, Jr. "Red" departed this life on December 26, 2023, in Mobile, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanette Elam and Calvin Franklin Elam, Sr., his stepmother, Dorothy Elam and his brother, Tony Elam, Sr.

In 1978 after graduation from Pontiac Central High School, Calvin enlisted in the Air Force.  Upon discharge he enrolled in the University of California Davis and received a BS in 1986, and a Law Degree in 1989.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his brother, Bruce (Mattie) Elam and Donald (Brenda) Elam, his sister; Kathleen Johnson, sister-in-law Vickie Elam and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial will be held in the second quarter of 2024 to Acknowledge Calvin Elam, Jr., Calvin Elam, Sr., and Tony Elam.
