Charles Norman Kendrick Sr. was born November 5, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Rose Kendrick.  He departed this life on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Charles hired in at Fisher Body plant in Pontiac in 1952, where he worked for 38 years.  He retired in 1990.  After retirement he enjoyed working on cars, small engines, doing welding projects. Charles met the love of his life Mary Wims, in the early 1950's, from this union he had five children.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He loved listening to music, especially the blues.  He enjoyed watching reality TV shows like Jerry Springer, and wrestling. He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Rose Kendrick, two brothers Robert and John Kendrick one sister Justine Kendrick, two great grand daughters Aamarie' Chambers and Eternity Kendrick.

Charles leaves to cherish his loving memories:  wife Mary Kendrick; Stepson Gregory (Bill) Lewis of Cathedral City; two daughters, Sharon Chambers, Janette Kendrick of Pontiac; three sons, Charles Kendrick Jr., Kevin (Diane) Kendrick, Mark ((Deneen) Kendrick of Pontiac; one sister, Sarah Davis of Detroit; one brother-in-law, John (Betty) Wims of Auburn Hills; four sister-in-law's, Shirley Wims,  Claudette Nevils, Valeria Wims, of Pontiac; and Ann Mems of Ferndale; thirteen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
