Charles Leonard Travis of Pontiac, Michigan, was born on October 21, 1939 to Tennie Travis and Aubrey Tipton, Sr., he was called to his heavenly home on August 5, 2023, at Troy Beaumont Hospital.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; Tennie Travis and Albrey Tipton, Sr., loving companion; Harriet Smith,  children; Darryl A. Travis and Michael Travis, stepdaughter; Desma Smith, siblings; Dorothy (Boots) Williams, Carrie (Pete) Travis, Vernon (Bud) Locke, Walter "Kokey" Travis, Shirley A. Smith, Cletis Tipton and Betty Carter.

Charles is survived by his children; Velda Travis and Charles "Chubb" (Crystal) Travis of Toledo, OH., Charles A. Travis and Carrie Travis of Pontiac, MI., Marcele (Crystal) Baldwin of Detroit, MI., stepchildren; Levento (Lakesha) Washington, Latonial Smith, Lynet Smith of Pontiac, MI., and Quincy (Shalonda) Smith of Houston, TX., siblings; Lenetta Walker of Pontiac, MI, Albrey Tipton, Jr., of Auburn Hills, MI., and Dion Tipton of Kansas City, KS., sister-in-law; Dorothy Travis of Pontiac, MI.  Also survived by a multitude of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Mr. Travis will lie in repose on, Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00pm-6:00pm.

Homegoing Celebration will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, Rev. Douglas P. Jones, officiating.  Family hour hour will begin at 10:30am and services will start at 11:00am.  Interment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
