Christine McMorris, affectionately known to some as "rabbit" was born on July 16, 1944 to Richard Albert Clark and Mattie Billingsley Clark in Turrell, Arkansas. She was the eighth of eleven children born to this union. Her paternal grandparents were Roman and Sally Howard.
Living her childhood in Turrell, Arkansas, Christine attended McNeil High School and confessed her life to Christ at an early age of twelve to the Church of God and Christ in Marion, Arkansas. She had many talents, but the most notable was the gift of song which led her and her siblings to form the gospel group "Spiritual Gospel Singers."

Christine was joined in holy matrimony to James W. McMorris, Sr. of Greenville, Mississippi in the year of 1963. To this union five children were born: James W. McMorris, Jr., Joseph L. McMorris, Anthony Q. McMorris, Evelyn D. McMorris, and Richard A. McMorris. She was a hardworking, caring, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived a life of serving God, singing the gospel, and enjoying time with her family. Throughout her lifetime, she worked as a nurse's assistant at Grovecrest Supportive Care in Pontiac, Michigan and Braeburn Nursing Home in Bloomfield, Michigan. She was an Eastern Star of Free and accepted the order of the Eastern Stars. She was an active member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and later joined Prospect Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess and remained a member until her passing.
Christine's earthly journey came to an end on Saturday February 3, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan surrounded by family. She was greeted at heaven's gate by her parents; siblings, Helen Allen, Jim Howard Clark, Evor Clark, Eloise Simpson, Cleavon Clark, Richard Clark Jr., and James Clark.
Christine leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, James W. McMorris Sr. of Pontiac Michigan; children, James W. McMorris Jr. (Shirley) of Cypress, Texas, Joseph L. McMorris of Kingsman, Arizona, Anthony Q. McMorris of Houston, Texas, Evelyn D. McMorris of Pontiac, Michigan, and Richard A. McMorris of Pontiac, Michigan; step-children, Lanette Washington (Brad) of Riverdale, Illinois, James Riley of Chicago, Illinois, and Michelle Staggers (Ernest) of Chicago, Illinois; siblings, Clastine Thomas of Albany, New York, Ezell Clark (Rochelle) of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, Lee Morris Clark of Utica, New York; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Joseph Jr., Briana, Eric, James III, Jasmine, Alyssa, Bryce, Diallo, Anastasia, Bryan, Jamila, James Jr., Sparkle, Salathiel, and Jovanni; great grandchildren, Jeremiah Jr., Akeem, Krystel, Kalen, Krysten, Janiyah, Jadia, and Jazmine; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Christine McMorris will lie in repose on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan. From 12pm until 8pm. Mrs. McMorris Home going celebration will be held on Saturday at 11am, February 10, 2018 at Monument of Faith Baptist Church 378 Auburn Road, Pontiac, Michigan. The family will meet with friends at 10:30am at the church prior to the service, Pastor James Keys officiating. Mrs. McMorris will be laid to rest at Perry Mount Park Cemetery of Pontiac, Michigan.
