Claudia Doretha (Doty) Love, was born January 16, 1932 and peacefully passed away on December 13, 2021 in Pembroke Pines, Florida.   She was born in Malvern, Arkansas to Eddie Hawkins and Annie Beatie Smith.  She came to Pontiac, Michigan in 1958 and was married to Willie Mack Love.  She was a sibling to Marjorie McWilliams, Jesse Hawkins, Ernestine Jimerson,  Lois Smith, Ollie Weaver, Victoria Adams, Cremonia Wright, Ellis Hawkins and Edward Hawkins.  She was the mother of Calvin Hawkins, Alvin Hawkins, Lillie Anderson, Keith Gilbert, Kenneth Gilbert, Sonja Gilbert, Beatie Love and Willie Love, II.  Grandchildren; Robert Hawkins, Michael Hawkins, Ramona Linteau, Felicia Lineau, Alvin Hawkins, Jr., Mark Hawkins, Michael Hawkins, Quanah Gilbert, Cherelle Gilbert, Forest Gilbert, Cedric Love, Ashlan Love, Thomas Gilbert, Stephen Gilbert, Andre Williams, Joziah Grant, Leartis Grant, Toya Grant, many Great Grandchildren and a host of friends and family.

She was retired from General Motors, a Member of St. John United Methodist Church, working in the community, serving on the Board of Directors at Pontiac General Hospital and fostered a Shelter Home for Troubled Teens.  She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, thrifting, reading and volunteering.  Her wisdom, spirit and the many memories will live in all that knew and loved her.  She will now rest in the arms of God in Heaven.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
