Curtis James Evans Sr., "Mr. Mayfield " was born January 3, 1953 in Pontiac, Michigan to Charlie Cozy Evans and Izora Doll (Jackson) Evans.  He passed away at his home in Pontiac on December 9, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charlie and Izora Evans, his brothers; Clarence and Charlie Evans, Jr., his special friends; Tammy and Detroit.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his 6 children; Takisha Jane  (Jamal) Harper, Cherisie Wee Wee Evans, Sandra (Alex) Dyer, Curtis (LaSonia) Evans, Danyelle (Kevin) Higgs and Kevin Evans, 4 stepchildren; Beverly Kimble, Ike Kimble, Benard Kimble and Tonya (David) Hill, 22 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 special nieces; Elaine Taylor and Monique (Cory) Thompson, 5 special friends; Cassandra Spillars, Cynthia Bumpous, Jimmy (Lime) Wright, Peggy Pearson and Theresa Gibson.  Also survived by a host of other loving family members and friends.  He will be dearly missed.

Mr. Evans will lie in repose on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.
