Daniel Johnson 62, of Pontiac,  Michigan.   A beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend, died from a fatal car accident on Friday,  July 18, 2020.

Daniel was born on May 6, 1958, in Pontiac, Michigan to Alfred and Betty Johnson.  He grew up in Pontiac, attending both elementary and middle school.  He graduated in 1976 from Bloomfield Hills Lasher High School, where he mastered American sign language.

Daniel enjoyed motorcycles, learning to ride as a teenager, he took great pride in his very own custom made motorcycle.  He was also an avid music lover.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Johnson, he leaves many love ones to cherish his memory; his son, Kenna (Kristi) Thomas, his daughter, Danielle Thomas, his mother, Betty Johnson, two brothers, Philip Johnson and Mark (Kema) Johnson, six grandchildren; Jazmine Nichols, Darian Ethridge, Solae' Thomas, Sa'Mya Thomas, King Khire Thomas and Ja'Sean Brownlee, one great-granddaughter, Malia Threets, two nephews; Shiloh Johnson and Caleb Johnson and one god-brother, David Manning.  Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

There will not be a public visitation or service at this time.

As a global concern about Coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to have a impact on our community, we are taking necessary steps to ensure the safety of the families we serve and the community in general.  Some families are making the decision to postpone services while others have opted to move forward with a small gathering of close family and friends.

It is Cobb's Funeral Home policy, which lines up with the restrictions of our governor, Gretchen Whitmer, that all gatherings are limited to 20 people with a distance of 6 feet.
