Daniel Thomas was born in Pontiac, Michigan to Jessie Thomas and Carrie (Crawford) Thomas.  He departed this life on November 18, 2019.   In his early twenties, Daniel left home and lived a short period of time in Clifton, NJ before returning to Pontiac, Michigan.  Mr. Thomas married Henrietta Hicks on December 19, 1992.

Daniel attended Pontiac Schools and earned his high school diploma from Hazel Park High School on June 3, 1992.  At the time of his death Mr. Thomas was in his second year of earning an Associates in Applied Science degree from Oakland Community College (Auburn Hills, MI).  His major was Criminal Justice.  Daniel was employed at Dollar Tree for over 10 years as a Assistant Manager, and previously was employed at Hubert Distributors Inc. for over 20 years as a General Laborer.   Daniel enjoyed musical concerts and was a devoted attendee to Oakland County's Arts Beats & Eats summer festival (Celebrating Art, Music, Cuisine and Community).

Mr. Thomas leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Henrietta Thomas, daughters, Victoria D. Thomas, Kari N. Thomas, Jasmine Hicks all of Milton, FL; son James Hicks of Milton FL., granddaughters Jamielynn Thomas and Genesis Hicks of Milton, FL; grandson, Jayden Hicks of Milton Fl; father and Step-mother, Jessie and Robbie Thomas of Pontiac, MI; sisters, Roxanne McAllister of Pontiac, MI., Gwendolyn (RL) Davis of Orion, MI., Maysetta Miller and Opal Thomas of Detroit, MI., brothers; Randolph Peters of Columbus, OH., Roger Thomas of NY; Rochelle Thomas and Marlon Thomas of Pontiac, MI.  Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.  Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Thomas; and brother, Jessie Thomas.

He will lie in repose on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.   Daniel Thomas's Celebration will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home, the family hour will start at 10:30 a.m.   Mr. Thomas will be laid to rest at Perry Mt Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
