Daniel George Valks, 51, transitioned peacefully on November 4, 2025, at McLaren Hospital in Pontiac, surrounded by his loving family.  Born November 13, 1973, in Pontiac, MI, to George William Valks and Barbara Ann Valks, he brought joy to all who knew him.

Affectionately known as "Danny Boy," Daniel graduated from Kennedy Center in Pontiac and attended the New Gateways Vocational Program in 2001.  His radiant spirit touched many lives, forging lasting friendships during his time at New Gateways.

Danny embraced life with a contagious smile, a wonderful sense of humor, a flirtatious spirit, and a kind heart.  He will be profoundly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Valks and Barbara A. Valk; his grandparents, John Smolich and Ann K. Smolich; and his Aunt, Patricia Golden.

Danny is survived by his extended family, including Leslie Bailey, Anthony L. Muckle Jr., Janay Niquette, Lola Niquette, Jasmine Niquette, Joyce Bailey, Andrea Bailey, Whittney Bailey, Marcus Mapp, Anthony Muckle, and many friends.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 10:30am and the service will promptly start at 11:00am.

Internment was held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac Michigan.
