Darlene Marie (Fayson) Hamilton spent nearly 27 years as a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker.  She began her earthly pilgrimage on July 3, 1961.  Following her battle with heart disease, she re-entered eternity Friday morning September 27, 2019.   Mrs. Hamilton leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Marcus Hamilton, daughters; Diamond Hamilton and Sterling (Hamilton) Schack, granddaughter; Crystal, mother; Bernice Bates, brothers; Mark Fayson and James Michael Fayson.  She was preceded in death by her father, James Mitchell Fayson, her sister, Karrie (Fayson) Craig and survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Darlene was born and raised in the city of Detroit, Michigan., although she re-located between Detroit, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio.  She graduated from high school and later attended Wayne State University.   She later married and devoted herself to operating her family household.  Despite her household obligations, she still managed to earn an associate's degree from Oakland Community College.

Darlene was also blessed with the voice of an angel, anyone that heard her sing was in for a real treat.  Although she had been offered an opportunity to experience a successful musical career, she instead decided to commit to being a full time mother, wife and homemaker.  She prided herself in being a passionate nurturer to both her immediate and extended family as well as others in the surrounding community.  She often cared for the concerns of others, even while she battled illnesses that eventually overtook her.  She was the family matriarch who kept everyone tied together and was always available to help family and friends.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Hamilton will lie in repose on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.   Darlene Marie Hamilton's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel, Christopher Campbell officiating.  The family hour will start at 10:00 a.m. Mrs. Hamilton will be laid to rest at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
