Della M. Rice she was born to the late Estella Harvey and Charlie Johnson on June 7, 1928, in Magnolia, Mississippi, she was effectionately known by many as Mother Dell or Mother Rice.  She departed this life on November 13, 2019 at the Villa of Green Lake Estates Nursing Home in West Bloomfield, Michigan.

Mother Della Rice was a member of the New Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Pontiac, Michigan, for 41 years.  God has been glorified by her commited service and the Church has been blessed with her presence.

Mother Della Rice will lie in repose on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.   Mother Rice's Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at New Springfield Missionary Baptist Church 124 Prospect St., Pontiac, Michigan, the family hour will start at 10 a.m.   Mother Rice will be laid to rest at Perry Mt Park in Pontiac, Michigan.
