Deshaunn Lamar Davis was born on April 27, 1976 to Roosevelt Tatum and Gwendolyn Davis in Pontiac, Michigan.  He departed this life on July 11, 2020.

DeShaunn graduated from Pontiac School District.   He continued his education at Oakland Community College and was currently enrolled in classes at Michigan State University.

DeShaunn worked with robots as a weld technician at Tower Automotive in Plymouth, Michigan for nearly 25 years.

He enjoyed comic books, puzzles, chess, and model cars, he enjoyed traveling and riding his motorcycle on the open road.

DeShaunn leaves too cherish memory;  his two sons, Christopher and Eric Davis by Majorie Dempsey.  Anyone that knew him knows his sons were the Inspiration and motivation of his life.  He was a proud father to his sons and was a true friend to their mother.  He leaves his parents, Roosevelt Tatum & Gwendolyn Davis, his siblings; ShaQuana (Clifton) Davis-Smith, Benjamin (Nicole ) Tatum and Bryce Tatum, but he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Jerry Cole, II. He leaves his niece, Savanna Tatum and his nephews; Jalon Carson, Jerry McDonald and Ayden Tatum to cherish his memory.

DeShaunn had a relationship with Robert Penermon who was also an active father figure throughout his life as well as his grandmother, Catherine "mommie" Penermon.

DeShaunn is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other friends including close family friend, Shera Green and his girlfriend, Shaquana "Mercedes" Jenkins.  Each will hold on dearly to his memory.

Mr. Davis will lie in repose on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.   Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home.

As a global concern about Coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to have a impact on our community, we are taking necessary steps to ensure the safety of the families we serve and the community in general.  Some families are making the decision to postpone services while others have opted to move forward with a small gathering of close family and friends.

It is Cobb's Funeral Home policy, which lines up with the restrictions of our governor, Gretchen Whitmer, that all gatherings are limited to 20 people with a distance of 6 feet.
