Obituary

Detria Ann Denay Pearcy was born on October 24, 1951, the first of five children to James & Hazel Goff in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  She grew up in Pontiac and also resided in Detroit and Southfield.  She attended public schools in Pontiac graduating from Pontiac Central High School in 1969.

She started her working career at Sears Roebuck after high school, she worked for AT&T (retired) and Livonia Police Department (retired).  She married Roger Gracey in 1969 and from that union she had three sons; Roger, Ryan and Roderick.

Detria was a very kind and giving woman, she enjoyed spending time with her "Girl Girls" at the casino when she was able to.

Detria Ann Denay Pearcy made her transition on April 3, 2020 after a four year battle with multiple myeloma.  She leaves to cherish her memories; her sons; Roger (Danielle) Gracey, Jr., Ryan (Azizah) Gracey, her grandchildren; Roger Gracey, III., Daniel Gracey, Isaiah Gracey and Aminah Gracey, siblings: Cheryl Ali, James (Phyllis) Goff, Jr., Jacqueline Manning and Terralyn Goff.   She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Hazel Goff her son, Roderick Gracey and her brother Larry Goff.  Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A family gathering will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Ms. Pearcy will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
