Elder Dorothy L. Fowlkes of Farmington Hills, MI, passed onto Glory in the early hours of Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the age of 71.  Dorothy is the daughter of the late James and Geraldine Yvonne Hill-Fowlkes.  Dorothy is survived by her siblings Lynn Fowlkes, Clay (Shonna) Fowlkes, Darryl Fowlkes, Justina Fowlkes, Sheryl Fowlkes-Williams, Kevin Fowlkes, Davyne (Louis) Moore, and Thomas (Tamria) Kennedy Jr.; Bonus mother Willie Mae Bell-Fowlkes, sister-in-law Lillian Morris-Fowlkes.  Dorothy, the second oldest of her siblings, was preceded in death by brothers, Elder Lorenzo A. Fowlkes, Sr. and Deacon Matthew A. Fowlkes.  She is survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.   Dorothy was a member of Merciful Ministries of Redford, MI, where she served as an Elder and church musician.

Dorothy will lie in repose on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Cobbs Funeral Home, 151 Orchard Lake Road Pontiac, Michigan 48341, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Pontiac Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta will perform the Omega-Omega service at 7:00 pm.

The Homegoing and Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, May 4, 2024.  The family hour begins at 10:00 am with services following at 11:00 am at Welcome Missionary Baptist Church, 143 Oneida, Pontiac, MI 48341.  Rev.
