Dorothy Mae Jones-LaMotte was born on July 9, 1943 in Greensville, Mississippi.  She was the only girl of eight children.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; Wade and Mattie Jones, her children; Ronald LaMotte, Sr., and Zina LaMotte, her siblings; Wade, Issac, McKinley, David, Marvin, Gary and Faye, honorary siblings; Ruby Simpson and husband; Ronald C. LaMotte.

She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and a great-grandmother. . Dorothy transitioned on April 12, 2022 to be with her heavenly father.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brother; Robert Jones, honorary siblings; Gilbert, Richard and Jeanie Simpson, grandchildren; JaVana, Jazmine, Bianca and Jubilee.  Also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Dorothy Mae Jones-LaMotte will lie in repose on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.
