Dwayne David Herrod, 41, born on January 13, 1985, in Pontiac, Michigan to Allen and Belinda (McCray) Herrod entered eternal rest on July 17, 2026.

Dwayne was a product of the Redford and Detroit school systems, his earlier years were spent at Our Lady of Loretto and he graduated from Renaissance High School in 2003.  He continued his education at Michigan State University and graduated in 2007 with  a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hospitality Business.

He was a member of Greater Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit under the pastorate of  Pastor Maurice Rudds.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents (Allen & Belinda Herrod), his brother & sister-in-love (Dujuan & Keera) & their children (Madison, Jordan, and Dujuan, Jr.), his god-parents James and Cloteal Garrett and a host of relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Dwayne's services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, Family hour will begin at 10:00 am and the service will promptly start at 11:00am.

Interment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 Perry Street, Pontiac, Michigan, immediately after the service.
