Dwayne Alan McFarland was born to the union of the Willie Ben and Odessa Lee McFarland, in Pontiac, Michigan. Dwayne was the youngest (baby boy) of 5 children. He received his education in the Pontiac School System and graduated from Pontiac Northern High School. He was baptized at St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
Dwayne was a family man, he loved spending time with family and friends, he was very loving and affectionate, he cared for others and would give his last, he had a heart of gold, he also enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, watching movies and sharing stories, he was entertaining with a great sense of humor, making everyone laugh at his jokes.
Dwayne departed this life on October 4, 2023, in Pontiac, Michigan. He will live on in the memories of his family and friends. He is survived by his siblings; Willie Ramsey and Sandra Giles, nieces; Tabatha McFarland, Tasha Giles and Monique Griffin, nephew; Willis Griffin, his special friend/brother; Damon Hudson, and many more relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Rebecca McFarland, Melody McFarland, and Leroy Giles, aunt; Geraldine (Samuel) Burrell and Loretta Russell, uncle; George (Ella) Young, Jr., and grandmother; Ollie Cooper.
A Family Gathering and Visitation for Mr. McFarland will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan. From 10:00am until 1:30pm. Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
