Eric Tyson Preston was born November 20, 1961 to Rachel Russell-Preston and the late Gilbert L. Preston, Jr. (Skeet) in Pontiac (Oakland County) Michigan.  Eric departed this life on September 11, 2019 at McLaren Regional Hospital of Lapeer, Michigan.

Eric attended Hawthorne Learning Center of the Pontiac School District.  He slso attended various workshops in Oakland County and the Life Skills Center of Oxford, Michigan.

Eric loved music, being outdoors, going to the beach playing in the water and going to McDonald's for their fries.  He also loved to eat.

Eric leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Rachel Preston, sister; Lori Preston, Brother; Sean (Tiffany) Preston, all of Pontiac, MI.  Eric's nephews; Tremaine Dalton, Shakir Preston, Quadre Preston and Javaad Crisp, uncles; Douglas (Hope) Hall, Frank (Mary) Russell, Michael C. (Robin) Russell, Larry (Paulette) Russell and Walker D. (Holly) Russell, aunts; Mary Anthony, Julie Hall Givens and Deborah (Art) Winston.  Eric leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish his memory.

Eric was proceed in death by his grandparents, Gilbert L. Preston, Sr. Elizabeth Hall, Jake and Mary Sue Russell, his father, Gilbert L. Preston, Jr., uncles, Wilbert Preston, Conus Theodorie and Aaron Russell.

Mr. Preston will lie in repose on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.   Eric Preston's Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel.   The family will meet with friends at 2:00 p.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home prior to the service.
