Fancita Cecile Murphy was born on April 18, 1939. She was the third of four girls born to the late Indian Ayre and Alexander Murphy in Mahoe Hill Chesterfield St Mary, Jamaica. She departed this life on January 6, 2022. Her sons, David Christian and Ricardo Tyrell and one sister preceded her in death.
Fancita later moved to Kingston, Jamaica where she was known by everyone as "Miss Fannie." For many years, she was a housekeeper and was known also as a very good cook.
Fancita started a family of her own, having six children: Carlos Christian (Kaydian Christian), Knahnell Christian (Mitzie Christian), Venice Duroseau (John it Duroseau) and Marlene Christian; twenty grandchildren, David, Mellisa, Kevan, Kemar, Rachel, Jevoyne, Devin, Britteny, Anesia,Shemar, Jo, Jayden, Kyler, Kobe, Renesha, Reesi, Kareem, Akayla, Neveah and Onesia and four great grands.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 31,2022 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan at 1:30 p.m. Family hour will start at 1:00 at Cobb's Funeral Home.
