Francine Porter Paterson of Pontiac, Michigan, was one of the twin daughters born on May 9, 1952, to the late Preston Lee and Ethel Porter, in Ypsilanti, Michigan.  She quietly and peacefully slipped away from us on May 1, 2025.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; James, son; Fred Porter, brothers; Nolan, Warren Lee, Barry, Leroy, Preston Jr., Lancy and  Harry Porter.

Francine accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour and was baptized at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, she also attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church, until the family moved to Flint, Michigan.  She graduated from Flint Northwestern High School in 1970, along with her twin sister Frances.  Eventually Francine moved to Pontiac, Michigan, where she gained employment at General Motors Corporation.  True to her commitment to her faith in God, she attended Welcome Missionary Baptist Church and later joined the Shiloh Baptist Church.

She leaves in the picture gallery of life to cherish her memories; her sisters; Geraldine (Cooky) Youmans (Clarence Youmans, Jr.) from Stone Mountain, GA, her twin Frances Perry in Flint, MI, aunt; Hortense Porter Stubbs, in Ypsilanti, MI, uncle; Eddie Porter in Inkster, MI, grandsons; Dominick and Antonio Porter and their mother, Heather Faust, a special cousin: Dolores Cotton and special friend and caregiver; Eleanor Powell.  Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celebration of life for Francine Porter Paterson will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 11:00am and service will immediately start at 12:00pm.  Interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 10:30am.
