Mrs. Gladys Smith Hardy of Pontiac, Michigan was born on November 22, 1929 to the late John Smith and Lillian Drake in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she was educated.   In 1957 in Pontiac, Michigan Gladys Smith became the wife of the late Lawrence V. Hardy, Sr.,

Mrs. Hardy was a devoted member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Pontiac, Michigan., for over fifty years where she served on the  nurse's guild.   She also was an active community member and was a member of the Queen Sheba and and the Golden Opportunity Club.  Her passions were spending time with her family,  traveling, playing cards and BINGO.   Mrs. Hardy was beautician for 40 years.  Mrs. Hardy was a loving mother to her children, David C. Hardy, June Henderson and the late Lawrence V. Hardy, Jr.   Mrs. Hardy also leaves to cherish four grandchildren; Jeremy Henderson, Amaris Hardy, Simeon Hardy and Mark Hardy.  She was preceded in death by one sibling Hazel Brown.

Mrs. Hardy will lie in repose on Thursday, Nov 7, 2019 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac,  Michigan from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.    Graveside service for Mrs. Hardy will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Perry Mt Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan
