Gloria Dean Tillman Beasley, lived a life of service to others.
Gloria was born October 28, 1933 in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the home of her late parents, Spencer and Fannie Lyle Tillman.
She attended school in Baton Rouge, until her parents migrated to Pontiac, Michigan in 1944. Gloria attended Washington Jr. High School in Pontiac, Michigan, and she graduated from Pontiac Central High in 1952.
At the age of 10, Gloria was baptized into Christ in August 1944 at the Progressive Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. After her parents moved to Pontiac, she became a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her death. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23rd Chapter.
She was employed by Pontiac Motors Division, General Motors Corporation for 41 years.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; husband: Glenn Beasley, Jr; and siblings: Spencer Tillman, Jr., Louis and Emma Tillman and son, Brian, Geraldine Eaton and daughters Florine and Deborah Frank, and Tobb Tillman, sons; Larry, Spencer, Tyrone; and daughter, Patricia.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters; Brenda Lucien Owens and her son Desmond Sweatt, and his sons, LaTrell and Javin Sweatt of Louisville, KY, and Cheryl Kay Lucien and her children; son, Timothy Lucien and his wife Jenifer; daughter, Demetria McCray and her children; Donty'ce McCray and his daughter, Kaylani, Davon Newbern, Skyla Robertson, Shakori McCray and her children: Kaloir T, Journie T, and Thailen B.
Gloria Dean Beasley will lie in repose on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church 250 Fisher St. Pontiac, Michigan, from 2:00pm - 8:00pm. Reflections & Tributes will start at 5:30pm until 7:30pm.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church 123 Wesson St. Pontiac, Michigan. Family hour will begin at 10:30am and the service will start promptly at 11:00am. Dr. John Tolbert, Sr. officiating, and Dr. Rodney Tolbert, Sr. Eulogist.
Internment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan, immediately after the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Golden Opportunity Club in Pontiac, MI. Gloria was a financial and a faithful and committed member for nearly 50 years; 52 Bagley St. Pontiac, MI 48341. Floral memorials are welcome.
