Gloria Fields of Pontiac, Michigan, made her transition on April 8, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Janie Whiting, her husband, David Fields, and siblings, Jeanette Whiting, Darlene Whiting Fields, Samuel Whiting, Jr., and Lawrence Whiting.
Gloria was a graduate of Pontiac Central High School and a retiree of General Motors Corporation. Gloria was also a cherished member and devoted leader for many years at St. John United Methodist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory three loving children; Sabrina Marie Jackson, David Cedric Fields and Latasha Denise Fields; four handsome grandsons; two handsome great-grandsons, a beautiful great-granddaughter; two sisters, Almeta Whting West and Diane Whiting King, and a host of relatives and friends.
Gloria Fields will lie in repose on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Cobb's Funeral Home, 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at St. John United Methodist Church, Rev. Tariq Cummings officiating. Family hour will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the service will start promptly at 11:00 a.m. Internment will be held on Oak Hill Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
