Gwendolyn Marie Davis was born to Raymond John Davis, Sr., and Althea Marie Davis in New Orleans, Louisiana.  She departed this life on September 5, 2023.

Gwendolyn graduated from Pontiac Northern High School and continued her studies at State Beauty College. She went on to work in the medical field for over 30 years, and also used her extraordinary talents in hair to earn extra income to support her family.  In 1998 Gwendolyn sold her first children's book and started her non-profit organization called Silents Angel's.  She started this non-profit to support the youth in Pontiac education and career path.

Gwendolyn leaves to cherish her memory; her father Raymond John Davis, Sr., her daughter ShaQuana (Clifton) Davis-Smith, her sons, Adrian Olayinka, Benjamin Tatum, her grandchildren; Jalon (Janea) Carson, Christopher Davis, Jerry McDonald, Eric Davis, Ayden Tatum, Savanna Samone Tatum, her sister Yolanda Davis of Houston, TX, her brother Mark Craft of Pontiac, MI, and her Auntie Rita Washington of Houston, TX.

She was preceded in death by her mother Althea Marie Davis, her sons Jerry Lee Coles, Jr., and DeShaunn Lamar Davis, her brothers Herbert Davis, Raymond Davis, Jr., and Roosevelt Davis.

Ms. Davis will lie in repose on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac,Michigan, from 12:00pm until 6:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Prospect Missionary Baptist Church 351 Prospect St. Pontiac, Michigan.  Pastor Derrick McDonald, officiating.  Family hour will begin at 10:30am and services will start at 11:00am.
