Harold Lee Styles, affectionately known as "Butch" born September 30, 1958. The 7th child to Louis Styles Jr and Johnnie Mae Amerson Styles. Butch departed this life on January 30, 2022.
Butch had four God children, Elgin Scott, Corkelius, Rarrem and Terry Smith, Jr. He was very important to all of his family, especially his cousins, the Amersons, Frenchs, Mannings, Smiths and Weedens. Whenever his cousins were feeling low, they could always call him for comfort, prayer and most of all, laughter. Butch was what you would call a gentle giant who was full of life.
Butch leaves to mourn his passing, two brothers, Gregory Styles, Sr (Chris) and Anthony Styles, Sr. (Joann); five sisters, Mary Styles, Deborah Bilbo, Kathy Styles, Barbara Rodgers and Tamika Gaines; one God brother, Robert Jackson, Sr; God sister, Claudia Archer; a host of nieces and nephews he has loved since birth, Greg Styles, Jr, Harry Dwayne Styles, Kareem Styles (Vinesha), David Rodgers, Jr, Anthony Styles, Jr (Jamye), Demeatri Styles, Sonya Styles, Samekka Rasberry (D'Artagnan), Shalita Styles and Tarrence Arrington; one uncle, Albert Amerson, Jr, two aunts, Irene Powell and Sylvia Leonard (John); 40 great nieces and nephews, 15 great-great nieces and nephews, all who adored him and two special friends Bernice Wright and William Terry (Pap).
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Carter, a niece and nephew and two brothers-in-law Kenneth Bilbo and David Rodgers, Sr.
Mr. Styles will lie in repose on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan from 1p.m until 6 p.m.
Funeral services for Mr. Styles will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 394 Howland Ave., Pontiac, Michigan. Rev Solomon Smith, Jr., officiating, family hour will start at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
