Harry Lee Tademy Sr. was born September 22, 1940 to the late, Theodore R. and Laura B. Tademy in Lecompte Louisiana. Harry passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Trinity Health in Pontiac, Michigan at the age of 83.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother; Theodore Jr., "Ted".

Harry gave his life to Christ at an early age.  After graduating high school, he attended Grambling State University in Louisiana where he graduated with honors, then enlisted in the United States Army. He served for three years and was honorably discharged in 1966.  Upon his return from being stationed in Germany, he met and married Louise in Pontiac Michigan. They were happily married for 57 years.

In his early years, Harry was a Health teacher at Pontiac Central High School and worked as a General Forman at General Motors. He later left teaching when he became a General Supervisor at GM. Harry retired from General Motors in 2000 with 38 years of service.

Harry was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee for many years. He loved serving the lord and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his lovely wife; Louise and sister Doris Thompson (Florsby/deceased); his children; Harry Jr (Monica), Jemarice (Todd), Tremayne (Quresa); his grandchildren; Erica, Tyrell, Adonis, Lecari, Kayla, Nischelle, and Carson.  Also survived by a host of relatives and dear friends.

Celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church 512 Pearsall Ave. Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 10:30am and  service will start at 11:00am, Rev. Terrance Gowdy, officiating.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
