Harvey Lee Quince was born July 10, 1931, to the union of the late Willie Quince and Josephine Quince, in Pontiac, Michigan.  He accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of the First Baptist Institutional church of Detroit, Michigan.

Harvey graduated from high school and went on to a junior college, his major was training in electronics.  He further his career and enlisted in the United States Army, thereafter he returned back home to Pontiac, Michigan.  Harvey gained employment thru Pontiac General Motors, working in the factory as an electrician and eventually, he was a journeyman for fisher Body.

Harvey loved dancing, so much that he has danced with many dance groups, he also loved bowling, he has bowled with numerous bowling leagues thru out his life.

Harvey Lee Quince departed this life on August 22, 2023, at the Detroit Veterans Hospital, he was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; W.J. Quince, E.K. Quince, Lee Kelly Quince, Carlton Quince, Standford Quince, John Quince, Josie Mae Quince, Marilynn Warren, Rosetta West and Ex-wife Kathleen Jordan-Quince.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his son; Michael Quince, his siblings; Larry Quince and Lorraine Nealy.  Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

Mr. Quince will lie in repose on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Swanson Funeral Home 14751 W. McNichols, Detroit, Michigan, from 11:00am until 4:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 10:30am and the service will start at 11:00am.  Interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan.
