Horace Crenshaw, Sr, of Pontiac, Michigan, was born on December 18, 1944 in Greenville, Alabama to the late Wiley and Estelle Crenshaw.  He departed this life on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Mr. Crenshaw graduated from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS with a Bachelor's Degree and Alcorn State University with a Master's Degree.  Mr. Crenshaw was a 4 year letterman on the JSU football team where he played defensive back. He started his career in education as a teacher, and he was the Athletic Director, head football and basketball coach at Choctaw County High School, Butler, Alabama.  He later became the head football and basketball coach at Northwest Junior High School, Meridian, MS. He received numerous accolades in athletics and teaching throughout his career.

Mr. Crenshaw leaves precious memories to cherish with: two children, Horace Crenshaw, Jr. (Rhonda) and Kedrick Rashawn Crenshaw (Tosheen); 3 grandchildren, Nilah Iman Crenshaw, Azaria Sanaz Crenshaw, and Micah KeShawn Crenshaw; three sisters Bertha Kinzer, Irene Wright (both of Pontiac, MI), and Dorothy Mae Willis of Prichard, AL; one brother, Ben Crenshaw of Pontiac, MI.  Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.

Celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 17,  2023, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 10:00am and services will start at 11:00am.  Interment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
