Ida Mae Thomas of Pontiac, Michigan departed this life on March 2, 2020 at the age of 93, she was preceded in death by her husband; JC Thomas, Sr., her parents; Robt and Sally Hamilton Butler of Chestnut, Louisiana, Nachiltoches, Parish, her sisters; Lizzie, Hattie, Little Baby and Mildred.

Mother Thomas leaves to cherish her memories, her children; Dennis (Lucille) Thomas in Southfiel, Michigan., Ida Thomas in Pontiac, Michigan., JC (Glenda) Thomas, Jr., in Little Rock, Arkansas., Davy Thomas in Pontiac, Michigan., Joy Washington in Pontiac, Michigan., Martin (Carolyn) Thomas, Sr.,. in Indiana, Indianapolis., and Janet (Calvin) Hopkins., in Ecorce, Michigan,  She is the grandmother of 24, great-grandmother of 55 and great-great-grandmother of 17, one brother-in-law; Leon (Irene) Thomas in Grambling, Louisiana.  Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Mother Thomas worked as a School Teacher for the Pontiac School District and was a faithful member of Eastside Church of Christ also in Pontiac, Michigan.

Ms. Thomas will lie in repose on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.  In honor of Ida Mae Thomas a Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Eastside Church of Christ 149 Martin Luther King Blvd, Jr., Pontiac, Michigan, family hour will start at 10::30 a.m.
