Isabelle
Barr
May 26, 1957 — Sep 16, 2024
Isabelle was born May 26, 1957, to the late Myra and Estes Davis in Detroit, MI and departed for Heaven on September 16, 2024. She was raised in a praying multigenerational household on the east side of Detroit, which created a firm foundation of faith that she instilled within her children and congregations.
She was a member of Lighthouse Cathedral where she met the love of her life, Keith Barr. He officially began his own church with his late mother Patricia Barr, March 1, 1980. Keith and Isabelle joined together in holy matrimony on December 28, 1980. Together, they committed to Proverbs 22:6 and raised seven children who all followed in the legacy of ministry, which spans across both sides of the family.
Isabelle was a dutiful wife, a loving mother, and an exemplary figure as First Lady in the church. Isabelle was quiet, but her faith echoed throughout her life and through the lives of her children. She was always supportive of her husband, encouraged him to do the will of the Lord, and taught her children to pray, play, and work with one another. Isabelle treated everyone with kindness and respect. She was a faithful member of New Horizon Christian Center, where her son is the lead pastor.
Isabelle is joined in heaven by her siblings; Raymond Davis and Ella Mae King. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband; Keith Barr, seven children; Gina Barr, Keith Gino Barr Jr., Katrina Barr, Christina Barr, Sabrina Barr, Angelina Barr (Larry Hilbert), Tina Barr, five grandchildren; Daniel Hilbert, Sophia Hilbert, Serena Hilbert, Noah Hilbert, Selena Hilbert, and her siblings Benard Davis, Estes Davis Jr., Cherry Ann Harris, John Davis (Fay), nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Isabelle will lie in repose on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Cobb's Funeral Home, 151 Orchard Lake Rd, Pontiac, Michigan from 1:00PM – 7:00PM. Open remarks will begin at 5:30PM.
Her homecoming service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Apostolic Church of Auburn Hills 3655 N Squirrel Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Family hour will begin at 10:00AM and the service will begin at 10:30AM.
