James Edward Keyes, Sr. was born on August 3, 1939, in Robertsdale, Alabama.  He departed this life on June 8, 2023, in Troy, Michigan.

James leaves behind his beloved wife, Dorothy, three sons; James E. Keyes, Jr., of Michigan, Michael Keyes of Georgia and Donald (Lisa) Keye; of Michigan, two daughters, Patricia (Carl) Dorris and Mia (Jordan) Keyes-Warren of Michigan, and eldest granddaughter, Sherika Armstrong, his brother, George (Nancy) Massie, sister-in-law, Mary Jones, brother-in-law, Chester Jones and nephew, Daniel Keyes.  Also survived by a host of other grandchildren, relatives and friends.  Mr. Keyes was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Yvette Keyes.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 552 Bay Street, Pontiac, Michigan.  The family will receive friends for visitation at 10:30 a.m.
