James Louis Murray of Pontiac, Michigan, departed this life on May 21, 2024, he was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph Murray, Sr., and Rosa Murray, siblings; Larry Jackson and Vivian Jackson.

James attended the Pontiac School System and graduated from Pontiac Central High School.  He loved his family and enjoyed all the family gatherings.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children; James Murray and Lacresha Wright, step-children; Anthony, Tamika and Mia Brooks, siblings; Joseph Murray, Jr., Donald ( Deborah) Murray, Sherron Murray and Debra Murray.  Also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, a special friend, Gwendolyn Brooks and other loving relatives and friends.

James will lie in repose on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00pm - 6:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 374 Howland Ave, Pontiac, MI.  Family hour will begin at 11:00am and the service will start promptly at 12:00pm.
