Janet "Lavon" Turner, age 83, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 peacefully in her home.  She was preceded in death by her parents: Florence Baylor and Arthur Branner; stepfather: Paul Baylor Sr.; grandmother: Anna Harris; siblings: Arthur Branner, and Joseph Branner.

Lavon leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter: Tasha Turner; granddaughter: Tamara Alexander; great-granddaughter: Alana Alexander, Siblings: Linda (Larry) Walker,  Pauline (Abdul-Malik) Rasheed, Paul Baylor Jr., Timothy (Joanne) Baylor, Spencer Baylor, Audrey Branner, Carl (Barbara) Branner, Ritchie (Yolanda) Branner, and Isaiah Branner; sisters-in-law: Annette Leonard and Sandra Turner; special aunt: Nomi Cobb; special friends: Peggy Hardiman, Brenda Street, Carol Tucker, Evangline Fortier, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Lavon's life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at St. John United Methodist Church, 620 University Dr., Pontiac, MI 48342.  Family hour at 10:00am, service immediately following at 10:30am, Reverend Fredrick Moore Sr., Officiating. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Pontiac, MI.
