Obituary

Janice Jean Germain-Chatmon of Pontiac, Michigan departed this life on July 13, 2019.  She was born April 29, 1961 in Montgomery, Alabama, she graduated from East High School in Youngstown, Ohio receiving her high school diploma.  She continued her education at Baker College of Auburn Hills, Michigan where she received her Associate's Degree.in Applied Science majoring in Pharmacy Technician.

Janice worked in the automotive industry where she met the love of her life, Warren Chatmon.  Their love grew over the years as they raised seven children.  They became a power couple where they bought and restored many houses throughout Pontiac.  Janice was a true entrepreneur and enjoyed her "Raggedy House" as she woulld call them.

Janice enjoyed reading and spending her time in the spring and summer gardening.  She loved her family and adored her grandchildren.  Family was her greatest accomplishment.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Warren Chatmon, children;  A'Sheemah Kelley, Marcus German, Richard "Rickey" Crawford, Jomekea Martin, Ada German and Arsenio Hendrix. siblings; Patricia Parker, Judge Pickett, Deborah Kocol, John Germain, Jr., Marcus "Nate " German, Chanell Penermon, Anitra Bryant and Lester Lee.  Fifteen grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, special friend her (neighbor) Maria Perez.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, John German and Ada Pickett, brothers, Henderson "Chip" German, Eddie German, Roosevelt Pickett and her granddaughter Samirah Hardiman.

Mrs. German-Chatmon will lie in repose on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.   Janice Jean German-Chatmon's Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church 345 Bagley St., Pontiac, Michigan at 11 a..m. Rev. Kerry Stanley, officiating.  The family will meet with friends at 10:30 a.m. at the Church prior to the service, she will be layed to rest at Perry Mt Park Cemetery of Pontiac, Michigan.
