Jeanette Broadnax was born on September 5, 1926, in Monroe, Louisiana, to the late Mac and Leola Munson.  Her beautiful book of life closed peacefully on July 29, 2026, at the age of 99, in the comfort of her own home.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her beloved siblings, Herbert Munson, Mildred Munson and Mack Munson; she leaves behind Donald Cook and Deborah (John) Cosey.  Jeanette received her education through the Pontiac School District where she met the love of her life in Elementary School.

In 1950, Jeanette married Clarence "Buster" Broadnax.  Together, they shared more than 67 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, family, and treasured memories.  Their beautiful union continued until Buster's passing, which came far too soon for Jeanette and her family.  Together they created six generations of grands and great grand children.Today, they are lovingly reunited once again.  Jeanette leaves to cherish in her memory her beloved children: Ocelia Perkins LeDuff, Ronnie (Janice) Broadnax, Faye Munson, Sherry Broadnax, Clarence (Jacqueline) Broadnax and Darleane Broadnax. Otis Broadnax and Rita Broadnax proceeds her in death.

Her legacy will also live on through her 22 grandchildren and over 50 great-grandchildren, as well as the many additional relatives and loved ones whose lives she touched.

Jeanette Broadnax will lie in repose on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00pm - 6:00pm.

Celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Cobb's Funeral Home.  Family hour will begin at 10:30am and the service will promptly start at 11:00am.  Interment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan, immediately after the service.
