Dr. Jeffrey Dell Martin (affectionately know as Jeff, Lefty, Left Hand, Doc, Papa Jeff, and Uncle Doc) was born on October 27, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan to Robert Lee Martin and Elizabeth Holland.

Jeff earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.) from the University of Michigan in 1980 and was downtown Pontiac's dentist for over 40 years.

Jeff transitioned on August 3, 2024 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Jeff was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thomas Martin, paternal grandmother, Geraldine Farrow; maternal grandfather, Hancey Montjoy; maternal grandmother, Sadie B. Clay; father, Robert Lee Martin: stepfather, Wallace E. Holland; stepmother, Barbara Martin; brother Eric Martin; and stepsister Rhonda Mitchell.

Jeff leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Angela Martin; mother, Elizabeth Holland; daughters, Jessica (Thomas) Smith and Kristen (Lonell) Carr; son, Joshua Martin; sisters, Lisa Martin, Andrea Renee Martin, and Leslie (Damon) Morris; brother, Andre Martin; granddaughters, Sydney Smith, Morgan Carr, Harper Carr and Skylar Carr; grandson, Ari Parker Nickson; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel, 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan on Sunday, August 11, 2024, 12pm - 4pm.

Jeff's Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 512 Pearsall St. Pontiac, MI.  Family hour will begin at 10:30am and the service will immediately start at 11:00am.
