Joe Timothy Wims Jr., known as "Tim," born on October 29, 1962, in Pontiac, MI, he passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at the age of 62 in his childhood home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Wims, Sr.

Tim was a beloved son, father, "Pop Pop," brother, and uncle.  He spent over 40 years as a journeyman electrician for General Motors. He was passionate about spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.

Tim is survived by his mother, Shirley Ann Wims; his three children, Timesha (Andrew) Young, Jennifer (Emmanuel) Wims-Madden, and Darnell (Jacqui) Wims; and his five grandchildren: Andrew, Leilani, Melody, Kalia, and Kiely.  He also leaves behind his sister, Stephanie Wims, his niece, Nia Wims-Garner, his long-term partner, Marlech Keel; and his ex-wife and mother of his children, Diane Wims.

A viewing will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 3:00-8:00 pm at Cobbs Funeral Home, 151 Orchard Lake Rd, Pontiac, MI 48341.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 12:00 pm at New Bethel Baptist Church, 174 Branch St, Pontiac, MI 48341.  Family hour will begin at 11:00 am.

In honor of Tim's passion for bowling, a memorial outing is scheduled for Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Century Bowl, 7345 Highland Rd, Waterford, MI 48327.  Family and friends are invited to come, share memories, and enjoy a few frames in Tim's memory.
