Obituary

Joella Jackson was born on April 30, 1947 in Lincoln, AL to Willie L. and Anthony Madden. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Cave Springs Baptist Church in Lincoln,  AL.

Joella attended Talladega County Training School in Talladega,  AL. When she moved to Detroit, MI,  she met her deceased husband,  James Jackson. Joella was employed at AT&T until her retirement. Joella received her wings on Friday, April 1, 2023.

Joella leaves to mourn her passing her loving daughter, Alicia Jackson and loving son, Dwight Jackson; granddaughter, Kiara Williams;  grandson, Davonte' Burkett; great-granddaughter, Tiegan Williams; sisters; Thelma Madden (White Plains, NY), Hattie Young (Lincoln, AL), and Savannah Orr (Baltimore,  MD) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joella was preceded in death by her parents, Willie L. and Anthony Madden; siblings Gladys Harrell  (Gadsden, AL), Dorothy Madden  (Talladega,  AL), Willie B. Madden (Eastaboga, AL), and Jeraldine White (Anniston, AL).

Ms. Jackson will lie in repose on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
