John Michael Oman, 68, of Pontiac, Michigan, passed away on July 17, 2025, leaving behind fond memories for all who knew him.  Born on August 17, 1956, in Detroit, John was the son of the late John and June Oman.  He was the beloved partner of Pearl Charron and father of Michael Oman and Ryan Oman.  John is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Oman and Lori Goryl (Oman). He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Oman.

John found his calling in the restaurant industry, where he dedicated most of his career as a waiter and server, earning a reputation for warmth and energy.  His upbeat spirit and quick wit left lasting impressions on colleagues and customers alike. John's loyalty to his family and friends was unwavering, and he could always be counted on to lift spirits with a good joke.

In his free time, John was a devoted sports fan, especially in recent years when the Lions became a force to reckon with. In his youth, he found joy water skiing and snowmobiling, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every adventure.

A Memorial luncheon to celebrate John's life will be held on August 9th at 2pm at Gino's 1999 Cass Lake Rd in Keego Harbor.  He will be dearly missed by those whose lives he brightened.
