Joyce Faye Terrell of Pontiac, Michigan, was born on February 16, 1943, in Marshall, Texas, to the union of Samuel Abcumby and Lucy Mae Abcumby.  She was preceded in death by; her parents, brothers; Freddie Abcumby, Larry Abcumby, Jerry Abcumby and Samuel Abcumby, Jr.

Joyce began her walk with the Lord at an early age, she graduated from Pontiac Central High School and continued her education at Pontiac Business Institute with high honors, majoring in Bookkeeping.  She worked and retired from new Horizons as a Bookkeeper.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters; Umiki Washington, Janice (Willie) Jernagin and Melissa (Gregory) Davis, Sister; Sammie Lee Scott, Carolyn Abcumby and her brother; Charles (Sharon) Abcumby.  Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 10:00am and the service will immediately start at 11:00am.  Interment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, MI.
