Kenneth Richard Walker was born on March 25, 1942 to James Walker and Oneida Jackson in Pontiac, Michigan.  On the early morning of September 12, 2019, Kenny heard the voice of God whisper in his ear to come home and take his rest.

During Kenny's younger years, Kenny attended Trinity Missionary Baptist Church with his mother, stepfather, Harley Caudle and younger brother Eddie.  Kenny attended Pontiac Schools and graduated from Pontiac High School in 1960.  After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Air Force.

Upon his return home from active duty in the Armed Services, Kenny immediately became a part of the black political forefront and participated in the Civil Rights struggles of 1967.  He was employed with the Pontiac Urban League as a voice of reason to calm the intense unrest as a result of racial tensions and to find solutions for racial inequities that were happening in the City of Pontiac.

Kenny was the Founder of "Hodari" , an anti-drug facility helping individuals who struggled with drug addiction and other challenging circumstances.

Kenny was bold, courageous, ostentatious and charismatic.   He loved being in the limelight and would always be found being the "life of the party."  God's grace allowed Kenny to develop a bond with his family and his children.  He cherished the moments spent with them.

Left to cherish his memories close to their hearts are, are his mother, Mrs. Oneida Caudle; his children, Vance Hardiman, Tobia (Lula Mae) Walker, Yolanda Flye, Quintin Hardiman, Lora Dillon, Sharifa (Colin) Louis, Kenny H.C. Walker and Christopher Armstrong; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his brother,  Harley E. (Delores) Caudle and his cousin, Alexander (Denise) LeDeux, Jr. "Dickie", special cousins, the Burns Family and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

Mr. Walker will lie in repose on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.   Kenneth R. Walker's Celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will meet with friends at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Cobb's Funeral Home.
