Lavada Wright-Nelson was born on March 5, 1942 in Hayti, Missouri, to the late; Alberta Lotts Wright and Tommy Wright, she was also preceded in death by her siblings; Ella Mayes, Della Wright, Emmra Henderson, Pearlie Whitfield, Alberta Kimble, Ethel Williams, Rosie Lee Newbern and Tommy Wright, Jr.   Lavada of Pontiac, Michigan made her transition on June 17, 2024.

Lavada was married twice in life, her first husband the late; J.C. Waller, second marriage to the late; Amos Nelson in 1980.

Lavada leaves no children, she raised her nephew James Ford-Wright and he took very good care of Lavada until the end.  She received her education in Hayti Missouri School System.  She enjoyed shopping, going to the casino, loved spending time with family, and attending all the family cook outs.

Lavada is survived by her brother; Hubert Wright and many, many nieces, nephews and friends, that loved her dearly, her nick-name to all of us "Aunt Fatt".

Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 10:00am and the service will promptly start at 11:00am.
