Obituary

Linda Ann Walker was born on July 16th, 1947 to the late Florence Baylor and Arthur Branner in Pontiac Michigan. Raised by the late Anna Hazel Harris (Grandmother) Linda graduated from Pontiac Central High School and continued her education at Oakland Community College, and went on to obtain a Masters Degree from Wayne State University in industrial relations.  As a member of the United States Marine Corps Linda gained the courage and discipline that led her up the ranks at General Motors where she worked for decades.  Always staying busy Linda spent many years as a tax preparer and an event planner.  Linda spent her last years faithfully serving her home church St John United Methodist as the church secretary. Linda's love for bringing the family together for holidays provides memories that will last a lifetime At age 77, Linda passed away Sunday, June 22nd, 2025 peacefully with her son Diarra P Collazo at her side.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather: Paul Baylor Sr.; and mother in law Effie Mae Weir. siblings: Lavon Turner, Arthur Branner and Joseph Branner. Brother in Law Filmore Walker.  Sisters in law Callie Malone and Anna Fowler.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband for over 30 years Larry Walker son Diarra P Collazo Grandson Diarra (Kai) Collazo, great-grandson Zale Eros Collazo: Siblings: Pauline (Abdul-Malik) Rasheed, Paul Baylor Jr., Timothy (Joanne) Baylor, Spencer Baylor, Audrey Branner, Carl (Barbara) Branner, Ritchie (Yolanda) Branner, and Isaiah Branner; sisters-in-law: Elaine (Rick) Nelson, Sarah Walker and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and the beloved Pontiac St.John United Methodist family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00pm - 4:00pm.

Celebration of Linda's life will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at St. John United Methodist Church 620 University Dr. Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 11:00am, service immediately following at 12:00pm.  Internment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
