Lizzy (Betty) Bailey of Royal Oak, Michigan, made her transition on November 24, 2023.  Betty was employed at Pontiac Osteopathic (McLaren) Hospital, where she extended warm, compassionate, and caring services to patients and their families during their hospital stay.

Betty enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed shopping and was known for her fashion, she dressed impeccably with style for any occasion or event.  She played basketball for a Detroit Senior Women's team, she was a good player and traveled with her team for competitive play within the states, and she had a great time.

Betty was a devoted mother to her only child, Robert Carter, Jr., and she enjoyed a loving relationship with her daughter-in-law; Jamie Little.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Willie Gross and Ellen Carter Gross, sisters; Lubertha Ratcliff, Ellen (Lola) Van and Josephine Peterson, brothers; Earl Gross, Eli Gross, Henry Gross, Sr., King Gross, George Gross and Ella Mae Robertson.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory, son; Robert Carter, Jr., a special daughter-in--law; Jamie Little, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, sisters; Mary L. Hughes and Geraldine Lewis, one brother; Charlie (Victoria) Gross.  Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 394 Howland Ave., Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 10:30am and the service will start at 11:00am.  Interment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
